About Langford Metal Industries

In 1955, Bill Langford commenced working as a registered business from underneath his home in New Farm. His first venture into mechanisation consisted of the purchase of a foot pedal guillotine and a four foot hand folder.

After moving the business to the downstairs section of a vacant house in Newstead, Bill further expanded by engaging his first employee on April 21, 1959.

From those auspicious beginnings, Bill's expansion has been a little less conservative. Today, Langford Metal Industries occupies six buildings on a company owned site at 44 Curtin Avenue, Eagle Farm.

Our current work force now numbers 51 and our investment in more efficient plant and equipment is continual. While Bill still maintains a presence in the business, Langford Metal Industries is now administered and managed by his nephew Glen. As Glen will tell you he takes great pride in continuing Bill's personal philosophy of plowing back profits into the most up-to-date plant and equipment available.

For more than forty years Langford Metal Industries has responded and grown to the markets needs. The unchanging value, the recognition of the need to provide value for money to the customer.
